Full Job Description

The successful applicant will have formal accounting education matched with at least 5 years of experience in a complex accounting environment, preferably Property Management, with the ability to multi-task.

This candidate must be able to analyze all accounting transactions including Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, Bank Reconciliations and cash transactions & Journal Entries,

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly in accordance with the accounting principles and in correspondence with the law
Be able to function in a multi company environment
Work closely with the financial controller
Keep up to date with the new legislation

Accounts Payable

Proactively ensure bills are accurate
Post and Prepare Payments
Reconcile Vendor Accounts
Prepare Intercompany invoices & Management Fees

Payroll

Prepare Bi-weekly timecards, send to head office for final processing
Post Bi-weekly Payroll JE

Bank

Reconcile credit card payments / bank statements
Post transactions in Spectra & QuickBooks

Government Reports and Remittances

HST (monthly)
WSIB
Payroll Source Deductions
Employer Health Tax (monthly payments if necessary, and Yearly Reports)

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
