The Lac La Biche District Natural Gas Co-Op Ltd. is seeking a new hire for the position of Accountant with the organization. The individual will be responsible for enacting the following:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable coordination with the Utility Billing Department, Payroll, Cash Reconciliations, Inventory Controls, all operational Federal & Provincial tax remittances as required by law.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
Capital Asset and Operational Annual Budget preparation with the Manager.
Financial analysis and follow-up as well as working with the Co-Op auditor to complete annual financial statements.
Maintain and establish internal controls as required, oversee the IT system, electronic payment equipment, contracts and agreements.
Utilize the accounting software of Reflex ERP for operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate finance initiatives.

Requirements

Experience in the industry or related work experience is required
Proven experience in finance or accounting roles is beneficial.
Strong knowledge of account analysis, investment reconciliations, and financial auditing.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Work related references are required. The successful individual must be bondable, complete a criminal check as well as have a valid driver's license. A comprehensive benefit package is available. The hourly salary is negotiable and dependent on education with experience.
