The Global Payroll Manager manages the full cycle payroll process and benefits administration across multiple countries and regions. This critical role ensures compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies while delivering a seamless payroll and benefits experience for employees. The person in this role will maintain a close collaboration with People Operations (Human Resources), Finance, and external vendors to streamline processes, ensure accuracy, and drive operational excellence in both payroll and benefits administration.

What you will be doing:
- Active member of the People Operations (Human Resources) Leadership Team; to include day-to-day supervision of the payroll & benefit associates, including coordinating, monitoring, and assisting with their training and development.
- Lead the team of Payroll associates to complete full cycle payroll processing and benefit administration for employees across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate payment on a monthly and semi-monthly basis and provide clear communication regarding Standard Operating Procedures, payroll timelines and polices.
- Partner with People Operations regional team to oversee global administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other employee perks.
- Manage the communication and employee experience for all payroll and benefit related questions from employees globally.
- Manage the relationship with payroll service providers to ensure all payroll set-up, inputs, calculations, reconciliations and reporting are processed timely, accurately and in compliance with legislative requirements, established controls and company policies
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders, such as Finance, Legal, third-party advisers, People Operations and country leaders, on day-to-day operations and special projects with an aim to streamline and optimize processes.
- Responsible for accurate and timely internal and external reporting to internal and external auditors; with an aim to maintain effective controls. Reporting includes but is not limited to GL reports, auditing, tax notices and filings, investigating/managing any tax notices and filings with the respective government agency.
- Manage year-end payroll and payroll tax activities and support the execution of year-end incentive payouts.
- Main point of contact for payroll integrations and M&A activities related to the implementation and consolidation of payroll systems.
- Continuously improve efficiencies through automation, enhancements and new partnerships related to payroll and benefits, and proactively communicate to the organization.
What you will bring to Caseware:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience; including managing multi-country payroll.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and advanced ability in Excel.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation with the National Payroll Institute (Canada) or equivalent from other countries. Certified International Payroll Professional (CIPP) qualification or equivalent, will be nice to have.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with payroll compliance, structure, benefit programs, tax regulations and labor laws across multiple regions.
- Requirements to have expertise in Canada, US and multi-region payroll and benefits administration (nice to have experience with Colombia, Costa Rica, Romania, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, Portugal)
- Proficiency with payroll and benefits software (e.g., such as Ceridian-Dayforce), in-country payroll provider management (e.g. Blue Marble), and HRIS platforms.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality.
- Resilient, solution-driven and willingness to work among the team through to resolution.
- Experience with payroll integrations, and mergers & acquisitions is a nice to have.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a global team.
- Demonstrated success in leading the creation of business process improvements by building relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders
