The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing payroll systems, overseeing commission processes, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll and commission payouts. This role involves supporting efficient payroll operations and contributing to continuous improvements in compensation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update payroll and benefits data in the HR/payroll system.
- Process payroll adjustments related to new hires, terminations, benefits, earnings, deductions, commissions, and other payroll-related entries.
- Audit and verify time and attendance records to ensure accurate pay, including vacation, holidays, and leave.
- Generate payroll-related journal entries for the accounting system.
- Prepare and reconcile annual tax documents and compliance reporting.
- Manage commission systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely payouts.
- Analyze commission data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Validate and reconcile commission information to resolve discrepancies.
Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of payroll and accounting principles. (Preferably Dayforce)
- Certification in payroll compliance or management is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with financial analysis and reporting is beneficial.
- Strong ability to handle large datasets and generate reports.
- Familiarity with HR and payroll systems
- Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
