The Blossom Group (Blooming Acres, Apple Blossom Village & Cherry Blossom Village) provides a home for people with complex special needs. Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Associate will be involved with the AP and AR processes for multiple operating companies. You will support the Controller in monthly reporting and special projects.
You will interact with employees from all aspects of the business including Ownership and Operations. Your success within the role is reliant on an ambitious work ethic, excellent communication, and the ability to problem-solve. The key to The Blossom Groups continued growth and success is sourcing, developing, and promoting individuals who meet these expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare Reconciliations and Process Remittances for Client banking ledger activity.
- Prepare and process Client submissions relating to various Ministry and Placement Agency funding programs.
- Prepare and process Company submissions relating to Ministry rebate programs.
- Review and upload monthly VISA activity into the accounting system.
- Perform accounting entries to the Company accounting ledgers as directed by the Controller.
- Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist the Controller in the preparation of monthly operational and financial reports .
- Participate in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
- Other tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of AP experience
- Minimum 1 year AR experience
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel
- Minimum 1 year of experience with QuickBooks Enterprise
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and navigate multiple priorities
- Communicates effectively with a variety of individuals representing diverse cultures and backgrounds and function calmly in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tack and diplomacy
This position is hybrid remote and therefore requires an individual to have the ability to work remotely, independently, and with without direct supervision while gaining valuable experience in the finance industry!
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $52,000.00-$60,400.00 per year
