About the Job:
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance is responsible for evaluating potential real estate investments and providing guidance on the feasibility and profitability of such investments. This may include conducting market research, analyzing financial data, and developing financial models to forecast the potential returns on investment. The Senior Analyst will be using financial modelling and communication to provide key inputs to the senior executive team’s decision making process.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and recommendations to clients on the feasibility and profitability of potential real estate investments
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential real estate investments
- Create and maintain multi-year cash forecasts and return metrics for ongoing development projects, and conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.
- Creating and analyzing proformas, budgets and cash flows.
- Updating and maintaining proformas for projects through their cycle.
- Work on materials for capital raises, including financing requests and investment memorandums.
- Analyze and interpret financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Reviewing drawings, schedules, and market metrics, and properly incorporating these inputs into various analysis.
- Prepare regular reports on the performance of existing real estate investments
- Assisting with placement and administration of loans and equity partnerships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, accounting or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting with a mix of analysis and creative thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
