Job Summary
The Accounting Technician plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage various accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles.
Duties
- Perform data entry for financial transactions and ensure accuracy in all records.
- Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Support payroll processing using systems such as Payworks, QBO, or QuickBooks ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for various accounting tasks.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of budgets as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized documentation for all accounting activities to ensure compliance with company policies.
