Your days will include:
- Accurately completing reporting deadlines of all Cost Management Reports.
- Reviewing/Improving current report writing process and assisting in periodic transition to new report writing software and upgrades.
- Providing ongoing support and continuous improvements for Tagetik Software financial report system.
- Identifying all significant anomalies and/or notable variances between Actual vs. Budget vs. Estimate throughout the pig flows within the COP and the Transportation COP reports. Both documenting and communicating these variances to the stakeholders in a timely fashion.
- Identifying all significant and notable trends throughout the inventory stages. Both documenting and communicating these trends to the stakeholders in a timely fashion.
- Reviewing, improving and automating transactional procedures and efficiency as it relates to cost accounting reports.
- Tagetik and other report writing for special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager, Director of Finance - Farms, and Executive Management Team.
To succeed in this role you must possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Costing Reports (specific to livestock industry an asset).
- Advanced report writer skills and familiarity with databases software, specifically finance and business software application used for corporate performance management (Tagetik).
- Advanced computer skills with accounting, manufacturing, & Microsoft software (especially Excel).
- Prior experience in similar or complementary role.
- Accounting certification or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding and experience working with different information systems and financial report writer software, especially Microsoft Excel, Great Plains, and Tagetik software.
- Strong working knowledge on cost accounting, hog production and the agriculture industry.
