Part-Time Accounting Assistant

Miles HR is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join the finance team of a downtown Vancouver Insurance firm. This company takes pride in maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional service to their clients, and we’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and proven data entry experience to support accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets
- Assist in accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and statements
- Maintain organized records of all transactions
- Support the finance team in daily administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data entry or as an Accounting Assistant (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software SAGE 50is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
