In this role as Billing & Payroll Associate, you would report to the Billing Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be located in either Oshawa, Mississauga or, Ontario.

Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely invoicing of accounts billed, and accurate and timely payroll for company drivers and owner-operators
- Rate and invoice customers, as well as, rate and approve payroll for drivers
- Ensure all billing and reporting deadlines are met
- Produce monthly revenue accrual for assigned accounts
- Apply payroll rules from several different collective agreements and owner-operator contracts, to pay company drivers bi-weekly and owner-operators semi-monthly
- Maintain a good working relationship with customers and staff
- Accurate and timely invoicing of assigned accounts
- Investigate and resolve open orders
- Perform duties while maintaining appropriate costs, quality standards, and agreed-upon customer service, timelines, and requirements
- Perform duties in accordance with sector-specific regulations, corporate timelines, performance standards, and workplace safety and health policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Requires a general understanding of automated bookkeeping methods, techniques, and basic accounting principles
- Must become proficient in utilizing transportation management system for billing and other related accounting functions
- Has a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent relevant work experience
- Post-secondary education in the accounting field is preferred, but not required
- No formal certification required
- Transportation experience as an asset
- AR and payroll experience an asset
- A criminal background check is required
