Position: Senior Accountant
Looking specifically for candidates that have experience working for a Public Accounting Firm. Duties focused on preparation of Year-Ends/Compilations/NTR's.
The accounting firm of MPS Partners is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. This position will act as an Senior Accountant working under the direction of a Partner.

Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end engagements and personal/corporate tax returns
- Plan and execute work related to Assurance and Accounting and income tax engagements
- Prepare financial statements that comply with accounting standards
- Able to effectively respond to client requests and suggestions related to the engagement
- Draft reports and responses to client queries for manager review
- Maintain communication between partners and other team members on an ongoing basis of progress and significant issues
Qualifications
- 5 years of public accounting and audit experience
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- Great interpersonal communication skills and is highly effective in developing trusted relationships in person, over video and/or phone, and through written communications
- Knowledge and experience of accounting standards, IFRS and Canadian Tax
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, iFirm, and Microsoft Office considered an asset

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
