The Controller will have financial, operational and administrative responsibilities.
Produce monthly financial statements on timely basis
Prepare year end working papers and schedules to support annual review engagement with external accountants
Manage financial instruments such as forward contracts
Support President and VP Operations with financial analysis and reports to support decision making
Lead administration and accounting team members to support overall department goals and objectives and promote best practices
Recruit, train and review team member performance
Evaluate and recommend improvements in controls and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency in workflows.
Support purchasing of key raw materials and monitor inventory levels
Tax and regulatory compliance
Partner with external IT service to protect infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
Ensure efficient operation of office systems/equipment including contracts, leases and purchase of office equipment
Support implementation of new ERP software
Office administration such as Human Resources Management, coordinating office services and organizing company events
Qualifications:
CPA designation or near completion
University Degree
5+ years of experience in managerial position
Proficiency in MS Excel
Strong communication skills
Experience in manufacturing industry would be considered an asset
