About the role:
Borrowell's finance team supports all areas of our business, including investor relations and operations.
As a member of the finance team, the Sr. Financial Analyst will bring an operational mindset and strong ability to execute investor and financial reporting. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be focused on supporting and contributing to the timely delivery of accurate financial results and analysis. You will support various functional teams by providing regular and ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Collect financial and investment information about companies, stocks, bonds and other investments;
- Examine and analyze financial and investment information (profiles of companies, stock or bond
- prices, yields and future trends);
- Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefings notes and
- correspondence'
- Advise on and participate in the financial aspects of contracts and calls for tender;
- Analyze investment projects;
- Assist in preparing operating and investment budgets;
- Plan short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance;
- Variance analysis;
- Perform administrative tasks as needed;
- Develop models to analyze and explain economic behaviour and patterns; and
- Prepare, present and manage budgets
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years experience in a financial analyst role
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Financial modelling experience
- Experience with SQL an asset
- Experience with Looker an asset
- Strong English language ability

We are remote-first across Canada with an office in Toronto. This role requires you to attend in-person meetings and team-building events.
