What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, we are looking for a Director, Finance to join our Finance team. The Director of Finance will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the organization. This role will involve strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing budgeting processes, and optimizing financial performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the SaaS industry and a strong understanding of financial operations.
As a Director, Finance at Creyos you will:
Finance / Accounting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to, general ledger, tax, payroll, consolidation, accounts payable & receivable.
- Own and lead key finance and business processes (invoicing, sales agreements, etc.).
- Working with People & Culture, own and lead the financial components of compensation planning, benefits, and payroll, including commission processes.
- Own and lead the monitoring of expenditures and tracking relative to budget.
- Accountable for financial components of day-to-day operations including insurance, lease, EOR, US sales taxes, office expenses, etc.
Reporting
- Drive improvements to new and existing reporting systems. Develop, own and measure new KPIs
- Oversee financial month-end close & reconciliation.
- Lead the year-end financial statement preparation process.
- Lead the valuation process.
- Collaborate with CFO on preparation of materials for the Board and Investors
Budgeting & Planning
- Work closely with the CFO to support strategic business planning, including the development of financial models, budgets, analysis and rolling forecasts.
- Work closely with the CFO, CEO and other leaders on business analysis, budgeting, data, and special projects as needed.
Capital Structure & Capital Raising
- Maintain the updated company cap table and work with the CFO on the legal, financial and accounting components associated with stock-based compensation and investment securities
- Work with the CFO on the analysis and execution of funding and capital raising initiatives (both private investment opportunities and government grants), including responding to diligence requests, analyzing the financial consequences of transactions, etc.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders and executives to provide assistance in identification and development of appropriate financial solutions to operational opportunities and issues.
- Act as a partner throughout the organization sharing advice and counsel on financial planning and analysis.
Management
- Oversee the performance and development of one finance team member (SFA), providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their skills and contributions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA required
- 5+ years of experience in finance management, preferably within the SaaS and/or digital health industry
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools; experience with SaaS financial metrics
- Agile and flexible, with a willingness to dive into different tasks and adapt to changing needs
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience working in an early-stage company or health tech organization is a plus
