Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices and payrolls, managing vendor payments, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. You will also be required to assist in hiring and conducting interviews to select eligible candidates.
Duties
- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks and Loggers Edge
- Conduct phone and in person job interviews for open positions
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks and Loggers Edge
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Experience with account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivable and Payroll processes
Bookkeeper certification is recommended however not a requirement. Must have extensive experience with the above listed tasks and be able to work independently. Training will be provided for company specific tasks. This is a full time, Monday - Friday position located in an office space on the main Highway in Hinton, AB.
