Presently, we are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strategic corporate view to assist us in developing a new executive team. Our current corporate position requires us to establish a financial strategy for investment funding through our next phase of growth.
As the CFO of Adamson, you will be responsible for guiding the financial direction of the company. You will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic insights, and ensure the financial health of the organization. Details of the work you might perform:
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that fulfill Adamson’s business aspirations and long-term goals
- Analysis and Reporting: Provide accurate financial reporting for governments and banks, adherence to accounting standards
- Budget Structuring and Control: Diverse departments such as research and product development, capital expenditure & operations, and administration & finance
- Financial Oversight: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting from product development, through manufacturing, to marketing and customers.
- Financial Team Management: Build a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement - provide oversight for a small accounting and ERP team
- Data Systems Overview: Work with ERP and IT teams to ensure data integrity and systems efficiency
- Workforce management: Review, analyse and report on cost/performance, effective staffing levels and future direction
- Monthly analytical reporting: Departmental performance & KPIs – assist in the evolution of ERP dashboards
- Management presentations: Prepare and deliver for management for analysis of results and forecasts
- ERP team guidance: Instill in the group an intense cost management ethos and enhance their focus on cost metrics
What You'll Bring:
- MBA and 10+ years of experience in executive leadership
- Deep understanding of corporate structuring, financial management, strategic planning, and financial analysis
- Proven track record in fundraising and managing investor relations
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
- Knowledge and experience in government subsidies and grant programs, such as SR&ED, IRAP, AMIC etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- International finance experience particularly in Europe (nice to have)
While not required, it’s a big added plus if you also have:
- Engaged in performance analysis, conducting detailed financial analysis to identify trends, provided insights, and supported strategic decision-making
- Performed a role in M&A activities, including due diligence, valuation, and integration of acquired entities, or raised capital through private equity participation
- Were involved in corporate structuring related to organizational transition and succession
- Experience with cost management - implemented cost control measures and optimized financial efficiency across an organization
- Been involved with technology integration, leveraging financial technologies to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities through ERP, BI or AI.
