Erie Flooring our Manufacturing Company, located in West Lorne, Ontario, is seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Accountant to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions within our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, document, understand, and streamline all financial business processes.
- Assess business needs, design, develop, and recommend solutions based on legislative and business requirements.
- Work accurately, effectively, and independently to meet multiple deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Analyze the general ledger in an accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date manner.
- Prepare and submit government forms for Payroll Taxes, HST, EHT, etc.
- Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Demonstrate experience in cost accounting and plant audits in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Support month/year-end procedures by producing working papers, analyses, and reports for external auditors.
- Comfortably multitask and perform a variety of administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks software is preferred.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Experience with costing in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong organizational abilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a team player.
- Ability to apply business analysis techniques to increasingly complex projects or initiatives.

This position is based in an office setting and will not accommodate remote work from home.
