Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Montreal. The candidate holding this position manages several areas of Operational Accounting including, but not limited to Accounts Payable, Inbound and Outbound Freight Accounting, and Vendor Management. This person is the liaison between Finance, internal stakeholders and external service providers in these areas, facilitates communication, leads month-end and year-end close procedures and is responsible for ensuring that all required financial accounting, reporting and sales tax deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including vendor inquiries and the onboarding of new acquisitions.

Ensure timely generation and analysis of weekly and monthly departmental reports and resolve issues/discrepancies as required.

Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all outbound freight payments, and reconciliation of all inbound freight invoices to costs entered in the Financial System

Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close in areas of responsibility; ensure accuracy of accruals, variance analysis and account reconciliations

Supervise and assist team, provide feedback and guide development

Participate in or lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as required
Qualifications:

Self-starter, results driven, detail-oriented with excellent analytical, and problem solving skills

Fluently bilingual, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, outside vendors, and suppliers etc.

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Must hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from an accredited University, CPA designation an asset

Experience in operational accounting and team management, with minimum of 5 years of related work experience; experience in large organizations an asset

Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel and Access (an asset)
