Valeo Pharma, a Canadian pharmaceutical company focused on innovation and growth, is currently recruiting an Accountant to join our team in the Finance department.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with strong financial and analytical acumen. Reporting directly to the Controller, the candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment. Accountant
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and process account payables, including reviewing and verifying invoices, confirming approvals and accurate coding, and preparing payments;
- Review and validate employee-submitted travel and entertainment expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures;
- Support the monthly closing process by ensuring that all transactions under the scope of this role are accurately recorded, reconciled, and prepared for review;
- Participate in the preparation of external reports for various stakeholders (government, suppliers, etc.);
- Perform any other related tasks as required by the department.
Qualifications and profile
- 2 to 5 years of experiences required in a relevant role
- Professional or college diploma in accounting, administration or office automation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and ability to shift priorities and work under pressure
- Experience with SAP Business One and Concur would be an asset
- Bilingual (French and English)
Salary and Other Conditions
- Salary: $57,000-$65,000 based on experience and qualifications
- Bonus: as per the Corporation’s policies
- Office presence: minimum 3 days per week, aligned to the Corporation’s policy
- Vacations: 3-weeks annually*
* Company also offers 3 personal days and is closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
