Core Responsibilities:

Tracking, reconciling and monitoring daily financial transactions within 3 days

Following up with Dept. Managers on cash out reconciliations

Processing and collecting account payables and receivables

Managing cash flow

Monthly Banking and clearing account reconciliations
-
Inventory and cog input and reconciliations
-
Adjusting general entries
-
Analytical review and data entry of time cards for payroll processing, (assisted by a payroll assistant - completed by external payroll service provider)

Processing GST and Payroll Remittance on time

Directing and discussing procedures to streamline accounting practices to save revenue and avoid errors.

Supervision of accounting staff during peak seasonal operations

Maintain records to be current and organized; financial, equipment, leases, loans, membership and partnership documents, both electronically and hardcopy.

Work together with managers to optimize communications with accounting dept. requirements and discrepancies.

Generation and analytical review of financial reports to prepare YE documents.

Liaison with membership and guests for account inquiries

Communicate and report to Ownership
Qualifications:

Experience of 5 years or more with full cycle accounting processes

Proven proficiency in Quick Books and POS systems mandatory

Understanding of Retail and Restaurant bookkeeping

Exceptional skills in dealing with reconciling financial data

Experience with LightSpeed POS or Golf Course Software an asset

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel

3-5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience

Outstanding communication and teamwork skills

Fluent in English
