Job duties:
- Update cash book daily, post transactions on the system and reconcile weekly and at month end
- Report daily bank balance to Management & Treasury
- Arrange in-branch bank transactions, including cheque deposit & Petty cash withdrawal
- Manage petty cash, prepare petty cash slips, distribute payment and update petty cash book as needed
- Settle AP payments in CMO and distribute payment confirmation to payees.
- Import AR invoices on the system for review, liaise with customer service for discrepancy if any
- Prepare monthly client statements
- Matching packing slips, approved purchase orders along with AP invoices
- Confirm receipts of goods for AP invoices with remote locations
- Obtain approvals for necessary invoices
- Import AP invoices on the system for review
- Prepare payment request and send for approval
- Share Re-bill information to customer service
- Update PST Assess and rebill tracking as necessary
- Submit New supplier/custom creation
- Reconcile AR and AP
- Prepare Supplier reconciliation
- Liaise with vendors for queries, as and when required
- Prepare Vendor credit applications
- Assist in checking client reference
- Ensure files are kept up to date
- Assist management teams for ad-hoc tasks
Experience and qualifications:
- Completion of a diploma or certification in Accounting or Bookkeeping from a Canadian institution
- Experience using MS Office applications
- Experience using Sage Accpac or Microsoft Dynamics 365 considered an asset
- Exposure to full cycle (including year end) accounting procedures considered an asset
- Hands-on experience in the tasks outlined above for this role
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and proactively solve problems
- Must be able to commute to the job location
- Must be able to legally work in Canada without sponsorship
