Trillium Architectural Products is a leader in the door and hardware industry. We work with architects, designers and contractors to provide safe, secure and functional door openings for commercial and institutional building projects.
Our accounting department is seeking a bright, organized and experienced individual to join our accounting department as Accounts Payable Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and process a high volume of payables transactions every day
- Ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time
- Reconcile between vendor statements and invoices received.
- Work with Procurement and Project Managers to reconcile purchase variances.
- Review business expenses to ensure appropriate GL coding and approvals.
- Process employee expense claims and corporate credit card statements.
- Manage inquiries from suppliers or staff concerning account status and discrepancies.
- Oversee weekly remittance cycles and ensure suppliers are paid according to terms.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors.
- Understand and apply accounting principles, policies, and procedures
- Assist with full-cycle accounting processes.
- Assist in the completion of month-end-close procedures.
- Ensure all payables records are stored, accurate and organized.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have over 3 years of experience in a role focused on Payables.
***Experience working for a subcontractor in the commercial construction industry is a definite bonus.
In addition, you should be:
- Proficient with MS Excel.
- Able to process a high volume of transactions.
- Well organized and a skilled communicator with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, energetic, solution-oriented and optimistic.
COMPENSATION
The salary offered for the position will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and will fall between $55,000 and $60,000 annually. Trillium offers a competitive health and dental benefit package, as well as flexible work options.
