Better Choice Staffing is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our client, a reputable construction management company located in Sidney.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temporary on an ongoing basis with the potential to become permanent
Weekly Schedule and Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. There is flexibility to start either at 7:30 am or 8:00 am or 8:30 am
Location: On-site role –Sidney, BC
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble documents related to expenditures for Project Managers approval
- Enter invoices, maintain accurate listings and records of Accounts Payable
- Initiate and record supplier payments in QuickBooks Online
- Review supplier statements to ensure that all invoices and payments have been captured
- Create Customer invoice and/or manually as requested by Project Managers
- Follow up with customer for aged accounts receivables
- Deposit payments, record and reconcile customer accounts as needed
- Support Accounting Manager with payroll processing by reviewing the timesheets
- Complete WorksafeBC returns
- Answer phones and relay messages as needed, order office supplies
- Maintain files in One Drive for both AP and AR
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 1+ years accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and CRA reporting requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all level of an organization
- Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Diligent, accurate, punctual
