Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper/Office Assisstant. You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our company. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in bookkeeping and administrative work
Duties:
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning processes
- Utilize accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to record financial transactions
- Make payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees
- Managing regular maintenance of trucks and trailers as well as driver files
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Make weekly fuel reports
- Assist with accounts receivable duties, including invoicing and collections
- Support the bookkeeping team in day-to-day clerical tasks
- Provide customer service
- Respond to employee questions and complaints
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in trucking industry working with accounting software such as Sage and QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.30-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
