Our client is seeking a Vice President, Finance and Administration to join their Leadership Team. This pivotal role oversees financial and administrative operations, embodying principles of transparency, efficiency, and integrity. The VP, Finance and Administration is instrumental in scaling operations, driving financial health and enhancing organization effectiveness across all departments.
Responsibilities of the VP Finance and Administration include:
- Lead and mentor the Finance and Accounting team, as well as HR, Technology and Office Admin, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Promote teamwork across the whole company ensuring that cross functional processes flow seamlessly. Working with the entire management team, develop and execute robust financial strategies and plans to support the company’s growth, sustainability and profitability goals.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Drive efficiency and innovation in administrative processes and systems to support scaling operations.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, CEO and ownership group on financial planning, budget management and organization development.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to financial and administrative operations.
Requirements
- CPA, CA.
- 10+ yrs experience leading accounting and finance teams in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with a track record of financial management and strategy execution.
- Adaptable with an ability to change approach based upon changing circumstances and uncertainty.
- Comfortable creating financial models and analyses using MS Excel and/or other analytic tools to delve into the details of the company’s operations.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, architecture or interior design as well as project accounting.
- Experience overseeing other administrative areas such as Human Resources, IT services and office administration.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and mentor teams.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with great decision-making capabilities.
