Job / Position Summary:
Underwriting of new credit applications and renewal of existing credit lines in accordance with established policies and procedures with optimal customer service
Key Responsibilities & Main Duties:
- Underwrite new and existing loan applications by accurately analyzing financial statements, identifying borrowing causes, determining appropriate collateral requirements and their valuations to develop credit proposal for presentation to approving authorities
- Review the loan portfolio annually to ensure the successful renewals of the existing loans including commercial and residential real estate financing
- Ensure implementation of all credit risk policies and procedures as approved by HCB to effectively manage credit, operational and regulatory risk
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with HCB's existing and potential customers ensuring delivery of excellent customer service as well as with lawyers and inspectors
- Ensure all credit information of the approved proposals is accurately entered in Hplus for proper disbursement of loan and security documents
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Management, Group reporting and OSFI to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Prepare and dispatch loan and security documents and contact lawyers to ensure receipt of executed security documents

Academic Qualification(s): Undergraduate in Business/ Finance or related field
Relevant Experience: 3-5 years
