Currently, we are looking for a highly experienced Accounting Professional, to join our Team, as Controller.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department for 2 New Vehicle Dealerships
Responsible for the overall financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and accounting practices
Provide superior customer service to all operating departments (including Sales, Parts, and Service) within the Dealership
Produce accurate monthly financial statements to the specifications and on the timelines of Hyundai Canada
Create, maintain, and monitor internal controls
Collaborate with vendors and department managers to implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives
Provide financial analysis and input to Senior Management for forecasting purposes
Coordinate the provision of information to Auditors, for Annual Reviews
Ensure compliance of Provincial & Federal Government reporting requirements & tax filings
Additional projects as assigned

Education & Experience

University Degree or College Diploma with a concentration in Accounting or Business Administration
Automotive Experience, New Vehicle Dealership Accounting (would be considered a strong asset)
Experience with Dealer Management Software (knowledge of PBS would be an asset)
Strong systems skills, including advanced Excel knowledge
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, and work in a team environment to ensure reporting deadlines are met
