The Accounting Reporting Specialist holds responsibility for the reporting, implementation, supervision operations of all financial activities within the company. These include critical accounting tasks such business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial due diligence. And also includes supporting department management tasks, including process improvement and digital transformation.
Objectives of this Role
- Internal Control, Oversight & Compliance: Develop methodologies and practices to ensure financial documents comply with legal standards and best practices. Implement and monitor internal audits and controls to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Take initiative in gathering and analyzing data, collaborating with various stakeholders, and developing comprehensive reports to support decision-making, provide commercial insight, financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Offer an Analyst's Technical Expertise: Applying accounting analysis skills to offer data-driven advice to the executive management team, for various financial decisions. Gather and clean data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and optimizing retrieval processes.
- Support Operational Excellence: Support in process improvement and digital transformation initiatives, contribute to company culture and the development of policy and procedures. Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.

Frequent Reporting Activities (Accounting Oversight and Recurring Reporting) :
- Inventory Reconciliation & Auditing
- Customer Subscription Billing
- Bank Reconciliation & Auditing
- Ledger Audits and Statements Reporting
- Payroll Cycle Oversight and Approvals
- Accounts Receivable Reporting
- Sales Reps Commission Accounting
Non-Frequent Reporting Activities (Major Transactions, Other Performance Reports):
- Asset Accounting (Financing, Depreciation, Auditing)
- Intercompany Transactions Monitoring and Settling.
- Shareholder/Financing Transactions Accounting
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Variance Reporting
- Break-Even Analysis Reporting
- Capital Expenditure Reporting
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Additionally, must be able to demonstrate technical data analyst skills, such as Data Wrangling, Cleaning, Interpretation and Visualization.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a SMEs in an analyst or supervisory position, with proven technical skills.
- Computing Skills:
- Advanced QuickBooks Online Workflows is non-optional.
- Extensive Excel experience is non-optional.
- Exceptional Data Wrangling and Manipulation Skills
- Salesforce Reporting Skills is a differentiating asset.
- Executive Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Executive presence to work effectively in collaboration with the management team, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent management and administrative skills, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
