We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to be an integral team member supporting the both the Southlake Ford Lincoln and Summit Ford finance and administration departments. The ideal candidate has 5 years of automotive payroll experience, is an organized self-starter and team player who is proficient in our internal systems.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Compile, calculate, record, and meticulously process payrolls ($10M+) for 2 Automotive Dealerships (150+ employees) on a rotating bi-weekly basis including additional Manager monthly bonus payroll(s) processing. Ensuring all payroll deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Ensure payroll and personnel documentation and records are accurately organized and maintained, including the processing of terminations, employee letters and ROE’s.
- Benefit Administrator - to process, maintain and accurately manage employee coverages, remittances, deductions and renewals.
- Time/Attendance Management – regular upkeep of all employee time/attendance using Dealer Pilot software
- Remittances – Ensure all bi-weekly and monthly payroll remittances (Payroll, EHT, WSIB) are processed as per government requirements/deadlines
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations- all payroll-related accounts including WIP, payroll clearing, vacation accruals, remittance accounts, commission/bonus accruals and year-end filings
- Year-end filings – responsible for all T4 preparations and filings, EHT and WSIB annual reconciliation filings as per government requirements/deadlines
- May assist or be responsible for the development or implementation of payroll policies, procedures or processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of related payroll experience in an automotive environment
- College Diploma or University Degree
- Experience with DealerPILOT, Reynolds, and proficient in PC-based software ex. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines consistently
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task effectively
