Osco Mudjacking & Construction Ltd., a Southside construction company, requires a dependable, positive attitude person to fill the role of Bookkeeper within its 1 person accounting department.

This position requires minimum 3 years construction bookkeeping experience.

The position is full time, and year-round with the added benefit of having some seasonally-adjusted hours allowing a degree of flexibility for personal time during colder months.

Position Overview:

Produce accounts receivable invoices, post payments and A/R collections
Post and pay accounts payable invoices.
Calculate, prepare and pay payroll through TelPay.
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
Prepare and pay tax returns including corporate, GST, and source deduction taxes.
Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
Post Journal entries.
Proper reconciliation of accounts.
Review of trial balance and financial statements.
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Prepare job cost reports and export data for use in spreadsheets.
Together with the Admin Assistant, answering multi-line phone system and other assigned office duties.
Construction industry experience would be an asset.

Mandatory Requirements:

Minimum 3 years construction bookkeeping experience.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
High level of proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Word programs.
Proven full-cycle bookkeeping experience.
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Wage is commensurate with experience.
