This permanent full-time position is located at our head office in Kelowna, BC and will be responsible for accounting and data entry, clerical responsibilities as well as office administration tasks.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the preparation & maintenance of all automated payroll information and records
Processing A/P A/R
Assist with preparation of budgets
Prepare relative information necessary for the corporation's annual audit
Provide recommendations to Senior Management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative/accounting functions
Responsible for assisting the General Manager with the required reporting under contracts and contribution agreements, as well as preparation and submission of claim summaries
Track and record accurate and timely input of client disbursements and payment activity, and loan repayment amendments. (Reconcile Loan Team Inputs)
Ensure the accuracy, integrity and credibility of functions, data and the like under the position’s control.
Keep up-to-date records of all staff personnel files

Qualifications

First year CPA or equivalent (preferred)
Bachelor's Degree of Commerce (Major in Accounting/Finance Preferred)
A minimum of two years’ work-related experience
Computer literacy on the Microsoft Office package is necessary
Familiarity with an accounting software package, i.e. Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sharepoint & Sage Accounting
Strong ability to multitask
Friendly and positive attitude
Ambitious and Intuitive
Critical thinker
