Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping/accounting and be proficient in quickbooks software. This role is essential in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. A minimum of 5 years experience in this field is required.

Duties

Prepare and file personal canadian tax returns for individuals and sole proprietor businesses.
Analyze financial information to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws.
Utilize when needed accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage for efficient tax preparation. QBO or quickbooks desktop is our main source of data
Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
Assist clients with inquiries regarding their tax situations and provide guidance on tax-related issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients. We provide educational update yearly as well to attend.
Collaborate with other financial professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Follow our in office procedures and compliances, collaborate with others in office to review and finalize files.
Support budgeting and financial auditing processes as needed with supporting documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar financial role is preferred 5 years plus. Tax Cycle preferred software.
Proficiency and certification in accounting software QuickBooksand QBO , bonus if you have other accounting softwares such as Sage and Xero.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Excellance in accounts payable processes and account reconciliation techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Accounting or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 44 per week
