We are a CPA firm in Mississauga serving individual and business clients across the GTA. We provide full-service accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax filing and planning to a diverse client base. We are currently looking for a proactive and results-oriented staff accountant

Job Description

IN-PERSON on site Full Time Staff Accountant

-Perform full cycle bookkeeping and accounting, including knowledge of general ledger entries and determining reasonableness of transactions

-Interact and resolve accounting and income tax issues, including communication with CRA and other relevant parties-prepare/process government payments (Source Deductions, HST, WSIB, EHT etc) with thorough knowledge and understanding of business concepts and government reporting

-Process payroll and other payroll related documents such as ROE and T4

-Perform bank and other general ledger account reconciliation and prepare reports

-Review and analyze financial information received from clients

-Prepare working papers files with supporting documents and draft financial statements

-Manage multiple projects and regularly monitor deadline

-Preparing personal and corporate tax returns

-Perform all job functions abiding by the office/work standards

-Assist in other duties, as required

Skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office/365

- Proficient in QuickBooks

-Organized and Detail oriented

-Time Management

-Oral and Written Communication Skills

-Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and adapt to changing workloads

-Ability to prioritize workloads, manage multiple tasks and deadlines

-Able to work overtime during busy tax seasons

-Drive to grow skills through ongoing research and professional education

Qualifications

-3+ years of bookkeeping experience is preferred

-3+ years of QuickBooks experience is preferred

-2+ years of working experience in public accounting is preferred

-knowledge of accounting principles and practices

-able to speak and write Mandarin
