Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management:

Proficient in accounting software and systems, such as Odoo and QuickBooks. QuickBooks Online proficiency is a MUST. Odoo proficiency is nice to have.
Prepare, read, and analyze financial and tax documents with precision.
Handle GST/PST filings and manage sales tax requirements across various provinces.
Assist in dealing with government-related accounting and compliance matters.
Maintain and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Support expense management, payroll preparation, and reconciliation processes.

Administrative Support:

Record and monitor customer payments, returns, and exchanges in Odoo.
Respond to client requests by providing statements and account records.
Organize and maintain accurate documentation, including electronic and physical files.

Communication & Reporting:

Communicate with customers and suppliers professionally.
Provide accurate financial information to support sales and business operations.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: At least 2 years of work experience, with 1 year of direct accounting-related experience.
Skills:
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Odoo, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to manage client inquiries and collaborate with the team.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
A positive, adaptable attitude with a strong commitment to ethical standards.
Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance.

Job Details:

Type: Full-time, in-person at our office in Richmond, BC.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
