Job Description

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company. This includes recording transactions, reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience with accounting software - primarily XERO.

Responsibilities

Record all financial transactions in the company's accounting system
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
Prepare financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare payroll for employees, if necessary
Audit financial records for accuracy and compliance
Provide financial advice to management when required

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or XERO; Experience with Lone Wolf Back Office is an asset
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 5 per week
