You are an experienced, highly organized, detail-oriented bookkeeper ready to join our team. In this part-time position, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial and administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a great team player, proactive, and resourceful.

This part-time (20-25 hours per week), in-office position is located in Waterloo, Ontario. We are close to the LRT and bus routes, but having a vehicle would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Accounts receivable: invoicing clients and posting payments, credit card processing on our Freshbooks online payment system
Accounts payable
HR: Payroll and timesheets
Reconcile bank accounts
Manage cashflow
Prepare year-end accounts for the accountant
Other accounting functions
Assist with special projects as assigned
Manage office supplies

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 5 years experience in Quickbooks Desktop with Payroll
Knowledge of Canadian & Ontario tax obligations
Fluency in English, verbal and written
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
Ability to work as a member of a team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Helpful Skills

Good communication skills
Experience with Google Workspace (Google Mail, Google Sheets, and Docs)
Familiarity with online payment systems (Freshbooks)
Experience in an IT environment or marketing agency is an asset
