18-Month Full-Time Contract Position

Huebel Grapes Estates is seekinga detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, tax reporting, account reconciliation, and data entry. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting vineyard data management. Proficiency in Excel is required, with QuickBooks experience considered an asset. This position covers an 18-month parental-leave with the opportunity to continue full-time employment following the tenure of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (A/R): Invoice customers and record payments in various currencies.
Accounts Payable (A/P): Enter data and process payments for accounts.
Record financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports as needed.
Process payroll, including data from vineyard management software.
Perform government tax reporting, payments, and account reconciliations.
Enter and manage harvest data.
Handle general day-to-day data entry.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant training or coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset.
Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

This is an in-office position that offers competitive compensation dependent on the level of experience and education.
