ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Toronto, Ontario

The Role:

Insurance Systems Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual with a broad skill set in accounting to join a growing and profitable company. We are targeting candidates who have specific experience implementing and working with NetSuite in a multi-country environment. The successful candidate will report to our Chief Financial Officer.

The Location:

Candidates must be based in Toronto. Role is mostly remote, with attendance once at week at our headquarter office in Etobicoke.

Role Responsibilities:

Own all accounting responsibilities including payroll, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly close, monthly tax payments and filings
Collaborate with auditors on annual audit and with tax accountants on annual filings
Immediately transition company from QuickBooks to NetSuite, leading the implementation and roll-out
Support CFO with monthly reporting and financial planning
Develop and rollout accounting policies
Act as a change agent to modernize and streamline accounting processes

Qualifications:

Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
Experience implementing and working with NetSuite
Minimum 7+ years of increasing accounting experience, ideally within the SaaS or professional services industry
Cross-border experience working with US customers
Strong communication skills
Comfortable working in a team environment.
Resourceful and driven; a true “self-starter”
CPA designation preferred but not required
