Wheaton Buick GMC Ltd & Mercedes-Benz Kamloops is looking for a Controller, responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the Dealerships.

Summary:

Reporting to the Managing Partner, the controller will have comprehensive experience in Full Cycle Accounting. The successful candidate will provide accurate information to the Managing Partner, including analysis, forecasting and preparation of financial reports. The Controller is also responsible for directing, managing and maintaining the company’s accounting functions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Monitor the financial performance of the company

· Compile and analyze Financial Reports

· Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the established regulatory and company’s procedures

· Communicate financial metrics to senior management

· Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments

· Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel

· Keep up-to-date on current HR trends

· Manage the accounting operations, including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting

· Work with external auditors

· Implementation and management of internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes and procedures

· All reporting to various external agencies

· Hiring, training, mentoring and supervising accounting staff

Qualifications and Skills:

· Accounting degree or designation, or equivalent combination of related experience and education.

· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures

· Thorough knowledge of relevant Federal, provincial and local reporting requirement’s

· Impeccable analytical and organizational skills

· Self-motivated and self-directed

· Ability to work closely with a senior management team
