Customer Focus

You will establish robust financial processes in order to deliver reliable and accurate financial information relating to the performance of the business to key stakeholders.

You will oversee and ensure on-time delivery of Group reporting, including monthly Management Accounts, as well as quarterly and annual forecasts, and interim and full year statutory accounting packs and analysis.

You will support non-finance managers in developing strong budget awareness and ownership of the financial impacts of their decisions.

Excellence

You will drive excellence in all aspects of Finance: budgeting, financial controls, and reporting.

You will develop and implement best practice processes and principles, through review of external trends and external networks, as well as internal governance guidelines.

You will work with the CS and warehouse Supervisors to support their efforts with process optimization and fostering a customer centric culture.

Collaboration

You will lead on and contribute to WMFTS-wide Finance projects as and when required.

You will engage with all parts of the business to effectively embed the Company values.

You will represent Watson-Marlow Canada, Inc. and WMFTS at internal and external events, conference and meetings, where appropriate.

You will work closely with all colleagues, through frequent and various communication, to enhance understanding and adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Integrity

You will ensure the integrity and appropriateness of all Finance deliverables.

You will ensure compliance with local, provincial and federal government tax reporting and filing

You will ensure compliance with Group internal controls through a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and delegation of authority.

You will serve as primary liaison with both internal and external auditors, driving performance improvements where appropriate.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

BA/BS Degree

Experience in senior finance/accounting roles

Experience or knowledge of Canadian financial regulations and practices

Finance professional qualifications : CPA designation preferred.

Commercial Experience Within a Sales/distribution Company Would Be Beneficial

Have experience of working with Finance systems and competent with Microsoft packages (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP software would be beneficial but not essential)

Be delivery focused with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure

Have strong commercial awareness with an appreciation of operational functions

Be organized, methodical, resilient and approachable with effective communication skills

Able to effectively and appropriately challenge business processes, outputs, and standards to help drive continual improvement

Can use personal initiative to work collaboratively as one team with a “can do” approach

Able to contribute to the learning and mentoring of staff to educate them in financial best practice

Experienced in managing projects and working as part of a project team

French language skills beneficial but not a mandatory requirement
