Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 2-8 years of experience who is eager to contribute to our financial operations, assist in cost analysis and grow within our accounting team.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

· Conduct detailed analysis of production costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead, to provide accurate cost estimates.

· Monitor and analyze variances between standard costs and actual costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

· Prepare and present regular cost reports to management, highlighting trends, variances, and key insights to support decision making.

· Assist in developing and maintaining standard costing systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost data.

· Work closely with the production and operations teams to ensure accurate tracking of inventory and production costs.

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· CPA designation is preferred.

· 2-8 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

· Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial analysis.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (preferably Syspro/Solo-chain).

· Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· High level of integrity and professionalism.

· Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
