FINANCE CONTROLLER

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Z'gamok Enterprises Inc. is searching for a Finance Controller with experience and a proven track record of success within a Mining & Construction environment.

The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in the financial management, analysis, and reporting for Z'gamok Enterpries and its group of companies, contributing to the company's ongoing success and strategic decision-making.

This position is subject to Z'gamok Enterprises Inc. personnel and administrative policies, relevant client policies and procedures and relevant Laws and Regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Interface with related companies to ensure flow of information is sufficient to allow proper record keeping and transactional accounting.
Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, cashflow budgets and other forecasts as needed.
Prepare monthly project reports to review profitability and cost overruns.
Ensures effective cost assessment and analysis is performed and reported.
Assist with audit preparation and documentation.
Other finance and accounting department duties as required.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

5-7 years of direct accounting experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
Candidates with a CPA designation will be preferred.
Experience with the Sage accounting suite an asset.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of mining/construction industry preferred but not required.
Expert level of knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Additional Qualifications that would be considered an asset:

Experience with Jonas Construction Software
