Accounting Clerk Full-time

We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience in bookkeeping/accounting looking to go further in their career and expand their knowledge and interest in working in an environment of continuous learning.

What you're responsible for:

Maintaining Client records
Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
Bank & Visa Reconciliations
Monthly Data entry for bookkeeping clients
Remittance filings to CRA and other government bodies
Administration work as assigned
Intake of tax clients through tax season
Assisting with T1 preparation through tax season
Reporting to the owner, any other duties, as assigned

Full-time, Monday to Friday. Hours are 9am – 5:30pm with a lunch break
The salary is based on relevant experience.

Qualifications and Characteristics;

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build relationships
Strong attention to detail and exemplary organization/ time management skills
A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred
Payroll experience preferred
Experience preparing WCB, T4, GST, and PST returns preferred
Experience completing personal tax returns preferred
