The Mill Bay Marine Group is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant.

Our current administrator is retiring which allows for this opportunity.

You will be working out of our Mill Bay head office and be required to oversee our financial reporting and payroll for the 8 locations that we operate throughout British Columbia.

You will have a staff of 2 located in Mill bay and be expected to liaise with the administrator in each division.

This position would be considered a senior management positon within our company.

Salary and benefits will be set to meet experience and qualifications.

THE ROLE

As the Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in the administration team.

The Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant's responsibilities will include preparing financial statements and consolidated financial reporting.

Responsibilities

· Perform monthly corporate office financial close, including reconciliations and review of accounts payable activities.

· Assist in the preparation of internal monthly consolidated financial reports and supporting schedules.

· Mentor junior accounting staff.

· Utilize Quickbooks in a multi user function with multiple divisions having separate financial statements.

· Manage HR and payroll for 100 plus employees biweekly.

· Prepare annual budget templates for 7 divisions

· Advise management of financial forecasting and cash flow analysis.

Qualifications

· Experience in private practice with exposure to restaurant and marina industry experience would be an extreme asset.

· Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with the Canadian tax and regulatory environment.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions.

· English language proficiency.
