Symboticware is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team.

About the Role

The Staff Accountant will support the various corporate accounting, consolidation, internal reporting, and analysis functions. The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting cycle, and will assist in accounting and financial reporting activities. They will be involved in various projects supporting the function as a whole.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of reporting packages, including internal, contract and grant reporting
Perform an analytical review of period-end financial results
Assemble documentation relating to various accounting and financial matters
Prepare and review account reconciliations and promote best practices
Prepare/review, and upload journal entries
Research and outline accounting standard changes and provide reports on findings for future accounting pronouncements as applicable, including recommended next steps.
Provide support to the business as required to address financial matters & questions as applicable.
Assist in the development of project plans

Qualifications

University Degree
Relevant work experience
Advanced Excel skills
Command of accounting standards (i.e. GAAP and ASPE)

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
