Job Description

Responsible for the entire payroll cycle, the Payroll Administrator ensures employees are paid correctly and on time, in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and collective agreements. Along with being responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records concerning payroll, benefits, withholdings, remittances and general ledger, they will participate in parallel run testing of Workday HCM and Payroll applications. They will also provide managerial/budgetary reports as required.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Business , Accounting or equivalent; Certified Payroll Practitioner or above, in good standing
Previous experience in a long term care and/or community services environment an asset.
Knowledge of current and relevant provincial employment legislation and payroll practices
Previous experience in a unionized environment an asset.
Strong attention to detail is required, with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of information
Demonstrated initiative, ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, and work effectively with deadlines, with minimal supervision
Excellent client service skills
Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Current knowledge of Workday or DLGL is a strong asset.
Satisfactory Police Reference Check (with Vulnerable screen) result

Additional Information

Working Condition:

Occasional travel to other Yee Hong locations.
