Senior Bookkeeper – full time permanent

The starting salary for this position is $50,000.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall day‐to‐day accounting cycle tasks including:

‐ Weekly bookkeeping and reconciliation through Sage
‐ Weekly payroll for 10‐15 employees
‐ Assist Estimating and Project Management staff with Job Costing
‐ Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
‐ Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
‐ Responsible for daily entry of accounting transactions
‐ GST/HST filing returns
‐ T4 preparation and filing
‐ Participate in business planning and general construction related administration

The job requires good time management with the ability to resolve issues, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a level of accuracy and confidentiality.

The candidate should possess the following technical skills:

‐ Project accounting experience an asset
‐ Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
‐ Thorough understanding of Sage Desktop with the competency to move our company from Sage 50 to Sage 300
‐ Payroll experience
‐ QuickBooks On‐line
‐ MS Office 365
