The Senior Cost Accountant will:

· Maintain and analyse product costing and related variances for the Stratford and Fergus operations.

· Review BOM’s and monthly inventory transactions for accuracy.

· Maintain cycle count system and follow up on significant variances.

· Responsible for developing the proposed changes to the standard material, direct labour and overhear rates.

· Responsible for developing the proposed manufacturing budget as part of the annual Plan process.

· Coordinate and complete the annual cost roll.

· Work with other departments to maintain accurate manufacturing costs and inventory.

· Create and distribute reports that monitor the manufacturing activities against forecast, Plan and prior year.

· Work with other departments to identify, develop and implement improvements to the product and manufacturing costs.

· Assist with the monthly accounting period close activities with timely and accurate reporting thru journal entries and analysis of variances to Plan & forecast
