a real impact? We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our
team at Peak of the Market Ltd., reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key player in supporting our Accounts Receivable team and the overall operations of Peak of the Market Ltd. Your responsibilities will include managing the general ledger, handling accounting transactions, and overseeing reporting applications and data tables. You'll work closely with the Accounting Manager to maintain robust internal accounting controls, ensuring the security of our assets and the integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support the AR Team, monitor processes of invoices/credits and assist in meeting deadlines
Ensure all team members follow the accounting principles
Support the Accounting Manager to ensure timely collection of payments
Investigate, analyze, and prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial and operational reports
Research, analyze and prepare costing, customer and vendor reports
Recommend, and implement solutions to improve our monthly account reconciliation process
Gather, document and analyze business and functional requirements
Assist in the year-end audit and financial reporting
Support implementation recommendations for process improvements for existing accounting, finance operations and other areas of the business
Participate in confidential and special projects and initiatives including but not limited to, business application changes, process improvement, new product and industry opportunities
Responsible for supporting the Farm to School Program as a whole, including customer support and managing orders

Experience & Qualifications

Accounting designation and Business Degree from a recognized institute; an equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered
5+ years’ experience in accounting and financial management including analysis, costing, and reporting
Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and conduct financial analysis
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Analytical thinking abilities and “big picture” thinker
Excellent attitude, strong moral compass, and solid interpersonal and communication skills
Solid experience using various financial tools and systems including ERP software and advanced MS Office applications
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to relate to varying levels of stakeholders; able to tell the story in words and not just numbers
Team Management and negotiation skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft NAV is considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
