We are welcoming applications for the position for Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting and Administrative team.

Purpose

Providing accounting administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Ability to effectively communicate with management and clients via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high attention to detail and in a timely manner.

This position will report to the Office Manager/Controller.

Responsibilities

· Maintaining accounting records to produce key financial reports

· Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, data entry and management to ensure that the accounting is up to date

· Database management, maintaining computer and manual filing systems

· Assist with the production of monthly reports as needed for review and analysis

· Carry out administrative duties such as filing, emailing, copying

· Assist in Marketing/Branding and Business development

· Provide professional communication to clients and coworkers

Requirements

· College or University diploma/degree from accredited College/University preferred

· Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

· Experience in BQE CORE Consulting software is strongly preferred

· 3+ years proven admin or assistant experience

· Previous experience in the Engineering/contracting/construction/distribution industry is an asset

· Previous experience in a multi-company environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced knowledge of Excel

· Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accuracy
